Nostalgic revivals are the backbone of HBO Max’s programming, and their latest comes in the form of the Sex and the City reboot. The new teaser for the upcoming series And Just Like That… is here, and it reveals several important details—including the show’s release date.
And Just Like That… will feature a total of 10 episodes, set to kick off on HBO Max on December 9th. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon are shown making a comeback in the new trailer, which centers on Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte trying to navigate the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.
The new trailer also sees several fan favorites make a comeback, including Chris Noth as Mr. Big and Willie Garson as Stanford Blatch. One person who’s noticeably missing from the trailer is Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones, who’s been very vocal about her decision not to return for any future Sex and the City projects long before the reboot was announced.
Sex and the City originally aired on HBO between 1998 and 2004 and won seven Emmy Awards, eight Golden Globes, and many other accolades. It spawned two feature films which came out in 2008 and 2010, followed by the prequel series The Carrie Diaries.
