Heartstopper is one of the most delightful coming-of-age series to premiere on Netflix in recent years, and its third season is just around the corner. The streaming giant dropped a new clip teasing the show’s return, revealing it’s coming back this October.

Based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novel of the same name, Heartstopper captures the blooming romance between shy teen Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) and his popular classmate Nick Nelson (Kit Connor), whose unexpected friendship quickly grows into something bigger.

Locke and Connor appear in the first teaser, which also reveals that the show’s third season will return to Netflix in October. William Gao, Yasmin Finney, and Tobie Donovan also joined them in the teaser, taking us behind the scenes and revealing what’s to come in the show’s next season.

According to Heartstopper creator Alice Oseman, Season 3 will see our favorite characters getting older, learning more about themselves and each other, and experiencing new desires, new fears, and new joys as they approach adulthood.

“While Heartstopper will always celebrate the joyful and point towards hope, I’m really excited that we are allowing the tone of the show to mature alongside our beloved characters growing up,” she said in a statement to Netflix.
