The A Wrinkle in Time filmmaker is venturing to the small screen for a series about a group of teenagers who were wrongly-accused of a crime in 1989.
The limited series will consist of 4 parts that were co-written and directed by Duvernay.
The Central Park Five were convicted in 1990 of raping jogger Trisha Meili, receiving sentences of between 5 and 15 years. Twelve years later it emerged that serial rapist Matias Reyes had actually committed the crime.
Netflix has now released the first trailer for When The See Us which stars Vera Farmiga, John Leguizamo, Felicity Huffman, Niecy Nash, Blair Underwood, and Joshua Jackson, among others.
When They See Us will premiere in May.
