Season 2 of “His Dark Materials” Has Been Confirmed

His Dark Materials TV series lands a second season before season one has even aired.

The TV adaptation of the popular Philip Pullman book series has been confirmed for a second season by the BBC. Filming for the first season only begun a few weeks ago but the network are so impressed by the series that they have ordered a second season already.

The second season will consist of eight episodes. Dafne Keen, who starred as Wolverine’s daughter in Logan will return as the main character, Lyra. Ruda Gedmintas is also joining the cast as the witch Serafina Pekkala

“Philip Pullman created a magical universe filled with imagination and complexity that is a dream for me as an actor to delve in to, and I am so excited to be part of this incredible creative team bringing these books to the screen,” she said at the time.

No spoilers have leaked yet about the upcoming series as the production team are determined to keep the show’s secrets hush.

A release date for the first season is still yet to be announced.
