The Flight Attendant created more buzz for HBO Max than any other show that premiered since this streaming platform launched, and they’re not letting go of it any time soon. After the critically acclaimed first season, a second season has been cleared for takeoff.

The Flight Attendant follows the trials and tribulations of globe-trotting flight attendant Cassie Bowen (Kaley Cuoco). After years of leading a wild lifestyle and dealing with drinking problems, her world turns upside down after a first-class passenger she had an affair with is found dead.

Cuoco said she’s “elated” by the news of the show’s renewal, adding she’s “so proud of the entire team behind its success”. Her production company Yes, Norman Production is producing the show, and she said they’re “committed to delivering diverse and quality entertainment, including an exciting (and probably a little crazy)” second season.

The Flight Attendant is based on Chris Bohjalian’s novel of the same name, and it premiered on HBO Max on November 26th. In addition to Cuoco, the cast of this series also includes Michiel Huisman, Zosia Mamet, T.R. Knight, and Michelle Gomez.
