American Housewife has cast a major recurring role.
It’s confirmed: Holly Robinson Peete will star in the fifth season of the ABC comedy series.
According to Deadline, which was first to report the casting, Peete will play Tami, a close friend of Katie’s (Katy Mixon) before the Ottos moved to Westport. In the past, Tami helped new mom Katie a lot, so when Tami relocates to Westport with her eight-year-old daughter, Katie is thrilled to reconnect with her old friend and hopes to return the favor and help her out.
Just in case you’re not following, American Housewife, per the official synopsis the series “chronicles the daily life of Katie Otto, a confident, unapologetic wife and mother of three, raises her flawed family in the wealthy town of Westport, Connecticut, filled with perfect’ mommies and their ‘perfect’ offspring.”
Peete is best known for her role as Judy Hoffs on 21 Jump Street. Her other credits include Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper and For Your Love.
