Holly Willoughby gave a moving tribute to This Morning as she received her Special Award from BAFTA.
The TV presenter has become an iconic part of British TV history. She has been presenting This Morning on ITV for almost ten years and is something of a national treasure.
“To be stood up here holding a BAFTA for a show that you’re lucky enough to even be a part of is incredible,” Holly said as she received her award.
“This Morning has the best team and has done for 30 years. Everybody who has been part of this show has said it’s something that has shaped their career and is something that stays with you.”
She emotionally continued: “This show gives you something that no other show can, I think,” she continued. “Whether it be friendship or skills in telly, or whether it be whatever you take with you for the rest of time. I think this is very special and everyone should be very proud of themselves.”
The presenter will be taking a three week break from This Morning to co-host I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! with Declan Donnelly.
