“Homeland” Director Lesli Glatter Discusses the Finale

Claire Danes in "Homeland"

Season 7 of Homeland which concluded this April is widely regarded as being one of the greatest seasons that the series has produced so far.

The fact that the eighth season could be the last as indicated by producer and star Claire Danes will be very hard to digest to fans. This is a show which is clearly extremely popular and profitable for the makers so it should perhaps carry on.

There is some good news for Homeland die-hards. During an interview with IndieWire’s Very Good Television Podcast, producer and director Lesli Linka Glatter indicated that there are no confirmed plans as yet.

“I think there’s still discussion about that, quite honestly,” Linka Glatter said. “I think it’s still up in the air in some way.”

Rumors first emerged that Homeland will end after season 8 after Showtime only renewed the production for two more seasons in 2016. The network has however not confirmed nor denied anything.
