Hollywood has a history of couple acting alongside one another and two more famous names have now joined the club.

With Homeland embarking on its final season, the window was closing for Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy to have an on-screen partnership.

But luckily they made it.

The Hannibal star will appear in a recurring guest role alongside his wife who stars as the lead in the Emmy Award-winning show.

Hugh’s character, John Zabel, has been described as a savvy Washington consultant who joins the White House as a new foreign-policy advisor to the President and a formidable opponent to Saul Berenson played by Mandy Patinkin.

The forthcoming season will finally wrap up the eight year journey of Claire’s Carrie Mathison, based on the Israeli series Prisoners of War.

The final season of Homeland is scheduled to premiere later this year.
