Murder mystery shows experienced a true boom in recent years, and they’re not going away anytime soon. Hulu will keep exploring this beloved genre with Death and Other Details, and the first trailer for this highly-anticipated series is one wild ride.
According to Hulu’s official synopsis, this series is set amidst the glamor of the global elite, and “centers on the brilliant and restless Imogene, who finds herself in the wrong place/wrong time and becomes the prime suspect in a locked room murder mystery.”
Violett Beane (The Flash) leads Death and Other Details in the role of Imogene Scott, and she’ll be joined by Emmy winner Mandy Patinkin (Homeland), who’ll play the world’s greatest detective, Rufus Cotesworth.
The supporting cast of this promising series will also include Lauren Patten (Blue Bloods), Rahul Kohli (The Fall of the House of Usher), Jayne Atkinson (House of Cards), Linda Emond (Only Murders in the Building), and Annie Q. Riegel (The Leftovers), among others.
Death and Other Details has been created for Hulu by Mike Weiss and Heidi Cole McAdams, and it will feature a total of ten episodes. They’ll stream weekly on Hulu following the two-episode premiere on January 16, directed by Marc Webb.
