We Were the Lucky Ones is one of the most promising new shows coming to Hulu this spring, and the first full trailer for his series is finally here. Joey King and Logan Lerman lead the historical drama about a Jewish family torn apart by the horrors of World War II.

We Were the Lucky Ones draws inspiration from Georgia Hunter’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same name, based on the incredible true story of a Jewish family separated at the start of WWII, doing everything in their power to survive and reunite.

We Were the Lucky Ones demonstrates how in the face of the twentieth century’s darkest moment, the human spirit can endure and even thrive. The series is a tribute to the triumph of hope and love against all odds,” reads Hulu’s official synopsis.

In addition to Logan Lerman and Joey King in the lead roles, this series also stars Hadas Yaron, Henry-Lloyd Hughes, Amit Rahav, Sam Woolf, Michael Aloni, Moran Rosenblatt, Eva Feiler, Lior Ashkenazi, and Robin Weigert. Erica Lipez (JuliaThe Morning Show) created this adaptation for Hulu and serves as its showrunner.

We Were the Lucky Ones will arrive on Apple TV+ on March 28 with a three-episode premiere.
