Hulu Hints at a Second Season of “Veronica Mars”

Kristen Bell and Percy Daggs III in Veronica Mars (2004)

Listen up, Marshmallows, we have some good news.

The first bit of awesomeness is that Veronica Mars is returning to screens later this year (but you smart people knew that, right?)

Kristen Bell last portrayed the teenage super sleuth in 2007 when The CW series came to an end.

Thanks to Hulu (and the recent trend of rebooting everything that ever aired on television), the show which is set in the fictional Californian town of Neptune will be broadcast some time in 2019.

Now, here’s the even cooler news — the 8 episode revival might not end there!

Hulu’s Senior Vice President of Originals, Craig Erwich, has said that the network would be “totally open” to a second season of the drama if creator Rob Thomas pitches them something they like.

Thomas, who has always been extremely passionate about the project, reportedly approached Hulu and explained to them exactly why they needed to revive the beloved series.

But despite hopes of a sophomore season, Erwich says that season one has a “satisfactory ending”.

So what are we likely to expect?

“It’s a more adult world with adult problems and adult danger. It feels like, if you were a fan of the original Veronica Mars, you will like this,” he said.

Now all we need is a clue about the premiere date…
