It appears as though the ending of BoJack Horseman was not as amicable a decision as we thought…
Netflix announced last month that the animated series about the former television star horse who was trying to resurrect his career would be coming to an end after its forthcoming sixth season.
The series, which includes the voices of Will Arnett, Alison Brie, and Aaron Paul, is popular amongst both viewers and critics.
Paul has now revealed that the decision to conclude the series did not come from the show’s producers, but rather the streaming service.
“We had a wonderful time making BoJack. Couldn’t be more proud,” the El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie star wrote on Twitter. “Fell in love with these characters just like everyone else did but sadly Netflix thought it was time to close the curtains and so here we are. They gave us a home for 6 beautiful years. Nothing we could do about it.”
Despite the cancellation, fans will still get their chance to say goodbye as the sixth and final season of the series will air in two parts, premiering on October 25th and January 31st, respectively.
