Amazon Prime Video’s spy epic Citadel is returning for its second season, and casting is finally underway. Jack Reynor will join the leads Richard Madden and Priyanka-Chopra Jonas in the second season of this spy action thriller.
Citadel centers on elite agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, who had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives after the fall of their spy agency Citadel. Eight years later, they’re called back to action and they must remember their past to save the future.
Jack Reynor landed a key role in the show’s second season, which will reunite him with the Russo brothers, executive producers of Citadel who previously directed him in Cherry.
Citadel will also mark Reynor’s third collaboration with Amazon Prime Video, following The Peripheral and an episode of Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams. His notable credits also include the historical drama Strange Angel and the films Transformers: Age of Extinction, Sing Street, and Midsommar.
Citadel premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2023, and it was meant to launch an international franchise of multiple shows set in different countries, but in the same universe. The Italian series Citadel: Diana will premiere later this year, while the Indian series Citadel: Honey Bunny is currently in production.
