Jameela Jamil looked stunning on the red carpet at the 2019 Primetime Emmy Awards, but the English actress did not feel as well as she looked.
During an interview with Access Hollywood, The Good Place actress revealed that she almost didn’t make the ceremony at all.
“Two hours ago I was on a drip, like lying on my bathroom floor, throwing up, but this is what make-up and hair,” she said. “I have gastritis.”
The hair and make-up — which the English star applied herself — certainly did the trick as she looked beyond glamorous in an aquamarine off-the-shoulder gown by Monique Lhuillier.
“I feel as good as anyone could, given what is going on with me right now,” Jameela declared.
Even though her show, The Good Place, didn’t win Outstanding Comedy Series, we would have been devastated not to see Jameela’s Emmy look.
