Eric Kripke recently revealed he’d like Jared Padalecki to appear in The Boys, and it seems his wish will come true. After working together on Supernatural, Padalecki said he’s open to teaming up with Kripke and they’ve already discussed a potential Season 5 role.

Kripke previously cast several Supernatural actors in The Boys, including Jensen Ackles, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Rob Benedict. Jared Padalecki was the only piece of the puzzle he was missing to make a Winchester family reunion complete, and the door is open for his casting in Season 5.

Padalecki’s schedule cleared up after his series Walker was abruptly canceled by The CW last month, and he recently discussed appearing in Season 5 of The Boys with Kripke.

“I think at this point in my acting life, I only want to work on projects that I really care about or with people that I really care about, and obviously Eric and I are indelibly connected forever… I adore him. I adore his humor. I adore him as a person, his storytelling,” he told Deadline.

The Boys returned for Season 4 on Amazon Prime Video on June 13, and its three-episode premiere experienced a 21% jump in total viewers compared to Season 3. The superhero satire has already been renewed for Season 5, which will serve as its final chapter.
