The Conners is returning to ABC next month, but it will miss one major player once it comes back. Jayden Rey, who’s been a part of the Roseanne revival since its very launch, will exit the series ahead of its upcoming sixth season.

Jayden Rey has played DJ’s daughter Mary Conner since the show premiered in 2018, but she won’t be back for Season 6. Rey didn’t give a reason for her departure, but Deadline reports that the door is open for her possible guest appearance, even though she won’t be back as a series regular.

Rey’s departure comes shortly after her TV dad, played by Michael Fishman, exited the show last season. Maya Lynne Robinson, who played DJ’s wife Geena Willams Conner was written out of the show pretty early after the actress exited the series following Season 1.

The Conners will return to ABC for its sixth season on February 7, and it will see the Conners continue to grapple with parenthood, dating, financial pressures, and aging in working-class America. The list of returning cast members will include John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Lecy Goranson, Emma Kenney, Ames McNamara, Jay R. Ferguson, and Katey Sagal.
