Jeremy Renner took a break from acting following his snowplow accident, but he’s gearing up for a comeback in the third season of Mayor of Kingstown. The Oscar-nominated actor opened up about his work on the show’s next season and admitted it’s arduous but exciting.

Renner recently set down with People to discuss his work on the next season of the Paramount+ series, and he got 100% real. He admitted that he’s not sure if he’s looking forward to it because the work is “arduous”, but he’s trying to focus on the positive parts.

“I think I’m excited when I’m there and I get in a rhythm there. I’m excited about the character and, of course, all the people involved and all that in the storyline, but for me, I’m just tentative of confidence in work,” said Renner.

He added that the work on this show requires long days in the freezing cold outside of Pittsburgh. To add to the stress, Renner admitted he’s scared of slipping and falling after his snowplow accident in 2023, which impacted his lower body strength.

Mayor of Kingstown will mark his first major role since the accident, and it will see him return as Mike McLusky, whose family has been ruling their hometown with an iron fist for decades, keeping the peace between the street gangs, prisoners, guards, and cops.
