Jessica Biel has several successful TV projects under her belt, and she’s gearing up for another one. Peacock gave a green light to a psychological suspense thriller The Good Daughter, and Biel will play the lead role in this limited series.

The Good Daughter hails from writer and executive producer Karin Slaughter and tells the tale of sisters Charlotte and Samantha Quinn, who’ve spent three decades trying to piece together the lives that were fractured by a single night of violence.

Charlotte’s life is shaken when another attack happens in her small town of Pikeville, and she’s the first witness on the scene. She’s forced to face her own demons as the case unravels, leading to one shocking revelation after another.

In addition to Slaughter, Biel will also executive produce this series with Michelle Purple through Iron Ocean. They’ll be joined by EPs Bruna Papandrea, Steve Hutensky, and Casey Haver for Fifth Season-based Made Up Stories.

Biel made a successful transition to television with the lead role in USA Network’s limited series The Sinner, which earned her nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Globe. She went on to lead Hulu’s true crime drama Candy, and will next be seen in Batso opposite Ethan Hawke and Daniel Radcliffe.
