Netflix is plotting its first medical procedural Pulse, and its cast is getting larger by the day. Five cast members joined the ensemble of the Willa Fitzgerald-led series, including Jack Bannon, Jessie T. Usher, Chelsea Muirhead, Daniela Nieves, and Jessy Yates.

Pulse will take us to the floor of Miami’s busiest Level 1 Trauma Center and see its staff navigate one medical emergency after another. Willa Fitzgerald will lead the cast in the role of a young ER doc Danny Simms, who finds herself unexpectedly promoted to chief resident.

Colin Woodell and Justina Machado (One Day at the Time) have previously been cast in supporting roles, and they’ve just been joined by five new cast members.

Jack Bannon (Pennyworth) will play a witty and charming surgical resident Tom Cole, who moved to Miami both for its lifestyle and excellent trauma program. Jessie T. Usher (The Boys) will join him as a thoughtful and altruistic doctor Sam Elijah, who hides a competitive edge under his calm and considered demeanor.

Chelsea Muirhead’s (Warrior) character Sophie Chan has been described as a smart and capable surgical intern, and she’ll be joined by Daniela Nieves (Vampire Academy) as the optimistic third-year medical student Camila Perez and Jessy Yates (Law & Order: SVU) as Danny Simms’ younger sister Harper, a second-year emergency medicine resident.
