The cast of Showtime’s upcoming espionage series The Agency is getting more impressive by the day, and another A-list star just joined it. Jodie Turner-Smith will star opposite Michael Fassbender in this high-profile adaptation of the hit French series Le Bureau.
The Agency will center on Martian, a covert CIA agent who must return to London Station after being ordered to leave his undercover life behind. His past comes back to haunt him when the love he left behind reappears, forcing him to put his career, his real identity, and his mission on the line.
Turner-Smith joins the star-studded cast of this project, which also includes Jeffrey Wright and Richard Gere, in addition to Fassbender in the lead role. Nina L. Diaz, the president of content and chief creative officer at Showtime and Paramount, announced her casting and described her as “a force who captivates audiences with her raw, emotional power.”
Jodie Turner-Smith got her big break with the role in the road crime drama Queen & Slim, and her star has been on the rise ever since. We’ve recently seen her in the Disney+ series The Acolyte, and she’s also attached to the Apple TV+ crime drama Bad Monkey.
