John Cho Suffers Injury on the Set of His New Show

Poor John Cho.

The Star Trek Beyond actor is nursing a knee injury which he sustained on the set of his new Netflix series.

Cowboy Bebop is set to be a live-action version of the anime series about a group of misfit bounty hunters in space which also stars Mustafa Shakir, Daniella Pineda, and Alex Hassell.

According to reports, Cho’s injury occurred during a rehearsal sequence in New Zealand, though they’re not exactly certain what happened.

The actor broke the news to his fans via Instagram.

“Water can flow or it can crash,” he wrote, quoting Bruce Lee. “Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. Gonna be back and flowing in no time!”

Cho has since flown back to Los Angeles and is set to undergo knee surgery. The result is that production on the series has now been delayed by 7 to 9 months.

When Cowboy Bebop is finally released, it will have 10 episodes compared to the anime’s 26.
