The 2020 Season of America’s Got Talent will see some new faces in the judges’ chairs.
Variety was first to report that Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough won’t be coming back as judges for Season 15. Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel will be returning as judges and Terry Cruz will be returning as host.
Season 14 of AGT replaced long-time judges Mel B and Heidi Klum with Union and Hough, which makes this announcement only the second time in the history of the show that judges will be leaving after one season.
In other news, the second season of AGT: The Champions has yet to reveal which judges will sit next to Cowell and Mandel. It’s unclear if NBC will bring back Heidi Klum and Alesha Dixon for the 2020 season.
You don’t have to wait long to catch Union and Hough on the small screen; Union is currently working on a female reboot of Bad Boys, L.A.’s Finest, and Hough is Jolene in Netflix’s Heartstrings, a series based on Dolly Parton songs.
