Julia Louis-Dreyfus had the time of her life playing Selina Meyer on Veep, but would she like to revisit this role? The Emmy-winning actress recently discussed the possibility of a Veep revival and said it’s not the right time for it to happen – and she doubts it ever will.
Louis-Dreyfus recently sat down with Variety to promote her new film Tuesday but also took a moment to discuss some of her previous projects. She reflected on her time on Seinfeld and Veep, two of the most defining roles of her career.
When asked how she feels about the possibility of revisiting her Veep character Selina Meyer, Louis-Dreyfus said it’s “doubtful” that the revival would ever happen.
“I do miss that character. I loved playing that role. I loved doing that show, my God. It was an enormous amount of work, and it was very demanding schedule-wise and everything else, but God I just loved it to death. But no, I don’t think the time is right,” she told Variety.
Veep starred Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer, the fictional Vice President of the United States trying to make her mark as the first woman to ever hold this position. She won six consecutive Emmy Awards for this role, in addition to three more for producing it.
