Erin Foster is currently plotting a comedy show for Netflix, and this series is shaping up to be a star-studded affair. Succession’s Justine Lupe and Veep’s Timothy Simons are among ten new cast members to join Kristen Bell and Adam Brody in this promising series.

Foster’s untitled series will center on an outspoken, agnostic woman Joanne (Bell), who strikes an unlikely relationship with an unconventional rabbi Noah (Brody). It’s loosely based on Foster’s real-life experiences.

Succession’s Justine Lupe will join them in the role of Morgan, described as Joanne’s quick-witted sister who doesn’t feel the need to strive for more than she already has – running a hit podcast with her sibling, built around their commitment to being alone together.

As for Veep’s Timothy Simons, he’ll play Sasha, Noah’s outlandish, eccentric, delusionally confident older brother who loves living vicariously through his ‘golden child’ sibling.

In addition to Lupe and Simons, Jackie Tohn (GLOW), Michael Hitchcock (Black Monday), Paul Ben-Victor (The Wire), Sherry Cola (Good Trouble), Shiloh Bearman (Home Economics), Stephanie Faracy (Uncoupled), Tania Raymonde (Goliath), and Tovah Feldshuh (The Walking Dead) have been added to the cast in recurring guest star roles.

Netflix ordered ten episodes of the untitled half-hour series, with Foster serving as showrunner alongside Craig DiGregorio.
