And Just Like That… is coming back for its third season on Max next year, but it will look quite different when it returns. Season 3 is bringing many major changes our way, including the departure of the fan-favorite character Nya Wallace, played by Karen Pittman.

Pittman was a recurring player in the first season of And Just Like That… before being upped to a series regular in Season 2. Fans were looking forward to seeing her character in Season 3, but she eventually decided to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. She’s also attached to the Apple TV+ series The Morning Show and Netflix’s recently announced adaptation of Judy Blume’s beloved novel Forever.

Max released an official statement announcing Pittman’s exit and said they “have thoroughly enjoyed working with this dynamic actress.”

“Due to the production realities, we are disappointed to announce that scheduling conflicts will not allow us to continue with this character as part of season 3 of And Just Like That… Karen and Nya will be missed, and her Max family and fans will all be cheering her on in her other endeavors,” reads Max’s official statement.

Pittman isn’t the only star leaving And Just Like That… ahead of its third season. Sara Ramirez won’t be back Che Diaz after her storyline concluded at the end of Season 2.
