Kathryn Newton has been pretty busy since the second season of Big Little Lies wrapped up, but she’s still open to returning to this universe. She recently discussed the show’s third season and said that “everyone is talking about it”.

It’s been almost five years since Big Little Lies ended its run on HBO, but its comeback is on the horizon. Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, and Zoë Kravitz led this series about five women who find themselves wrapped up in a murder investigation, while Newton played the teenage daughter of Witherspoon’s character.

IndieWire recently caught up with Newton and asked her if she heard anything about Season 3. She said that “everyone is talking about it” and made it clear she’d be happy to return for another season.

Newton isn’t the first person to drop hints about a potential Big Little Lies return. Nicole Kidman has been teasing it for quite some time, while HBO boss Casey Bloys said they’re very open to bringing it back once the cast’s schedules align.

“The entire cast is doing shows and movies, and everybody’s very busy. But it’s a very special group. They love working together. And when they land on an idea, I believe they will make it happen. We’re excited when they’re ready, and we will take those steps when they’re ready,” Bloys told Variety back in January.
