Yellowstone has given us several hit spin-offs over the years, and another one is on the way. Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser will return as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler after the grand finale of the original series after closing the deals to appear in an offshoot.
Yellowstone will end its run with Season 5, but it turns out this won’t be the end of the Dutton family story. The future of this hit Western drama has been uncertain since Kevin Costner announced his departure, but the creator Taylor Sheridan eventually figured out how to keep the story going without him.
Yellowstone will come to an end on December 15, but Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser will get the chance to reprise their roles in the upcoming offshoot series. Reilly spent the past five seasons playing John Dutton’s daughter Beth, while Hauser portrays her husband and jaded ranch foreman Rip Wheeler.
Yellowstone inspired several spin-offs over the years, most of them set in a distant past. Two prequel series, 1883 and 1923, were met with critical acclaim, and they chronicled the Dutton family origins through the post-Civil War era and the Great Depression. The third official spin-off The Madison is currently in development, and its ensemble cast will be led by Michelle Pfeiffer.
