Araminta Hall’s novel Imperfect Women is finally coming to our small screens, and its cast will be one star-studded affair. Kerry Washington and Elisabeth Moss landed lead roles in the Apple TV+ adaptation of the hit novel, which hails from Physical’s Annie Weisman.

The psychological thriller series will explore guilt and retribution, love and betrayal through the story of three women, whose decades-long friendship is put on the line in the wake of a crime that forces them to examine how even the closest relationships can change over time.

Weisman is gearing up to continue her collaboration with Apple TV+ after working on three seasons of Physical for the streamer, and she’s executive producing the series alongside  Washington, Moss, and Hall.

“I’m honored that Apple is once again trusting me to help bring complex, layered female characters to the screen. Elisabeth, Kerry, and Araminta are the perfect collaborators to bring these Imperfect Women to life,” said Weisman in a statement.

Washington (Scandal) and Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale) are two of the biggest TV stars of their generation, and they both have several other promising projects lined up. Washington currently leads Hulu’s comedy Unprisoned, while Moss will next appear in the FX thriller series The Veil.
