Kim Kardashian is getting serious about the TV business, and she found a perfect partner in crime in 20th Television. She inked a first-look deal with the company, and her first project under this contract will be Kenya Barris’ series Group Chat starring La La Anthony.

Hulu series Group Chat has been confirmed as the first series under Kardashian’s new deal, and it’s based on La La Anthony’s s bestseller The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness. The BMF star will lead the cast and executive produce the series alongside Kardashian and the show’s creator Kenya Barris.

Kardashian said that she’s incredibly interested in telling stories that are personal, complicated, and relevant, and she’s certain that her partners at 20th TV will help her accomplish this goal.

“I had a front-row seat to working with the exceptional team at 20th Television during American Horror Story: Delicate, and I’m so excited to dive into developing my first wave of television projects with the team led by Karey Burke and Eric Schrier, and to continue working alongside Craig Erwich,” said Kardashian in a statement.

20th Television president Karey Burke and Disney Television Group president Craig Erwich confirmed their deal with Kardashian in a joint statement and described her as a multi-hyphenate in every sense of the word, who has her finger on the pulse of the zeitgeist while simultaneously helping to define it.
