Season 12 of American Horror Story is on the way, and it will be full of surprises. In the latest stroke of the stunt casting genius, the reality superstar and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian joined the upcoming season of the hit anthology horror series.

Kardashian will star alongside AHS alum Emma Roberts in Season 12 titled Delicate, loosely based on Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel Delicate Condition. This book centers on a woman who’s dealing with paranoia during her pregnancy, and it’s been described as a feminist take on Rosemary’s Baby.

The series co-creator Ryan Murphy described Kardashian as one of the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and said they’re thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family.

“Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish, and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done,” said Murphy in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

This marks Kardashian’s first high-profile TV role, but it’s not her first foray into acting. In addition to playing herself in multiple movies and TV shows, she also appeared on series Beyond the Break and Drop Dead Diva, and recently voiced a character in PAW Patrol movies
