Uhmm… so Kit Harrington (aka Jon freakin’ Snow) hasn’t got around to watching the final season of Game of Thrones.
Earlier this year, the series reached its conclusion after eight long, gripping seasons. Unfortunately, the season finale was met with backlash with fans even drawing up a petition to have the final season remade.
While most of us have put the controversy of the series finale behind us, the debate was sparked up again after the Emmy Awards this weekend. After receiving over 30 nominations, the show picked up twelve awards in total.
Kit Harrington may have attended the ceremony but he has not yet gotten around to watching the final season of the show.
“I still haven’t seen the show,” he confessed to Entertainment Weekly. “So that’s how I dealt with that controversy — I haven’t seen the final season but I know what it took to shoot it. It was hard and all of them put their love and effort into it.
“I think for us, we knew what we were doing was right, story-wise, and we knew that it was right for the characters because we lived with them for 10 years. Controversy for us didn’t really affect us.”
