The Orphan Black franchise will soon make its long-awaited comeback with a spin-off series Orphan Black: Echoes. Krysten Ritter leads the way in the trailer for this series, which sees her trying to escape some dangerous people while searching for her true identity.
According to AMC’s official logline, Orphan Black: Echoes “follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unraveling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal.”
Ritter will lead the series as Lucy, a woman trying to find her place in the world after undergoing a procedure that erased most of her memories. The first trailer sees her introducing herself as someone who has “an almost pathological desire to avoid talking about the past.”
In addition to Ritter, this series will also star Amanda Fix, Avan Jogia, Rya Kihlstedt, James Hiroyuki Liao, Reed Diamond, and Tattiawna Jones. They’ll be joined by Keeley Hawes as Dr. Kira Manning, the daughter of Sarah Manning from the original Orphan Black series.
Orphan Black: Echoes was created for AMC by Anna Fishko, and it will feature a total of ten episodes, set to premiere on June 23.
