Sterlin Harjo is rounding out the cast of his FX pilot The Sensitive Kind, and he’s doing a pretty amazing job. Eight actors just joined Ethan Hawke in this promising noir series, including Kyle Maclachlan, Tracy Letts, and Keith David.

Not much is known about this project, but it’s been described as a Tulsa noir about a guy who knows too much when it was first announced in February. Ethan Hawke landed a lead role after collaborating with Harjo on an episode of Reservation Dogs – and he’ll be in pretty good company.

Harjo is slowly rounding out the cast of this project, which now includes eight new supporting players – Keith David (American Fiction), Siena East (S-x Lives of College Girls), Jeanne Tripplehorn (Big Love), Tim Blake Nelson (The Ballad of Buster Scruggs?), Scott Shepherd (Killers of the Flower Moon), Tracy Letts (Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty), Kyle Maclachlan (Twin Peaks), and Macon Blair (Oppenheimer).

Harjo will write and direct The Sensitive Kind pilot, and he’s also executive producing it alongside Hawke and Garrett Basch. This series was developed under Harjo’s overall deal with FX following the final season of his acclaimed coming-of-age series Reservation Dogs.
