There’s a lot of anticipation leading up to the next season of Wednesday, and Netflix just added more fuel to the fire. Lady Gaga will join Jenna Ortega in the second season of this hit supernatural coming-of-age series in a mystery role.
The second season of Wednesday is currently filming in Ireland, and its cast is getting more amazing by the day. Lady Gaga is the latest A-list star to join the ensemble, and Variety reports her role will be more of a cameo after the attempts to get her to sign on for a bigger role fell through.
This isn’t Lady Gaga’s first Wednesday connection. A sped-up version of her song “Bloody Mary” from Born This Way became a viral sensation over a decade after its release after being included in fan videos of Jenna Ortega’s dance scene from the series, which spawned a viral TikTok trend.
In addition to Ortega in the lead role, Season 2 of Wednesday will also mark the return of Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Emma Myers, and Joy Sunday. They’ll be joined by several newcomers to the cast, including Steve Buscemi, Thandiwe Newton, Billie Piper, Joanna Lumley, Noah Taylor, Christopher Lloyd, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, and Heather Matarazzo.
