Game of Thrones is famous for some of the craziest deaths in television history.

You just have to mention Oberyn vs The Mountain or the Red Wedding for your stomach to begin to turn.

So, one can understand why Lena Headey felt her character’s demise was slightly less than dramatic.

For those who don’t recall, Cersei Lannister died in the show’s penultimate episode alongside her brother Jaime. The pair went below the Red Keep during Daenerys’s tirade and were killed when the structure collapsed.

“I will say I wanted a better death,” the actress told The Guardian. “Obviously you dream of your death. You could go in any way on that show. So I was kind of gutted.”

That said, Headey understood that writers David Benioff and Dan Weiss had a mammoth task ahead of them regarding the final season.

“I just think they couldn’t have pleased everyone. No matter what they did, I think there was going to be some big comedown from the climb.”

We’re sure no one is as disappointed by Cersei’s death as much Arya Stark.
