It’s only been a month since Interview with a Vampire was renewed for Season 3, and we already got a look at its next chapter. The first teaser offers a look at Lestat embracing his rocker alter-ego and even features a snippet of one of his songs.
Based on Anne Rice’s iconic gothic novel, Interview with a Vampire centers on Louis de Pointe du Lac retelling the tale of how he was drawn into the orbit of the charismatic Lestat de Lioncourt, who later turned him into a vampire.
Season 3 will be based on Rice’s novel The Vampire Lestat, and it will center on his rock star era.
“Resentful of the perfunctory portrayal in the trashy best-seller Interview with the Vampire, the Vampire Lestat sets his story straight in a way only the Vampire Lestat can – by starting a band and going on tour… No Auto-Tuning. No Trigger Warnings. All Feels Amplified,” reads the official Season 3 logline.
The new teaser sees Sam Reid returning as Lestat, and sitting down for an interview with Daniel Molloy, while rocking a black crop top and lime green jacket. The trailer also features a snippet of Lestat’s song “Long Face”, and AMC later released a full version on their YouTube channel.
