Suits L.A. will kick off production later this month, and its cast is shaping up to be pretty impressive. Lex Scott Davis is the latest star to join Stephen Amell in NBC’s drama pilot, set in the same universe as their hugely successful legal drama Suits.

Suits L.A. doesn’t mark a traditional sequel or a spin-off, but an expansion of the Suits universe, which centers on the big shot Los Angeles attorney Ted Black (Amell). He left his life as a federal prosecutor in New York behind to start things anew on the West Coast, where he found a perfect partner in crime in his old buddy Stuart Lane (Josh McDermitt).

Davis will join the series in the role of Erica Rollins, described as a savvy and strong-willed rising star working for Ted Black, who’s “shrewd enough to test the loyalty of her associates only to admire some of them for not having any.”

Davis is best known for her roles in films The First Purge and Son of the South, and she’ll soon appear in the star-studded buddy comedy Ricky Stanicky. Her TV credits include roles in Training Day, The L Word: Generation Q, Rebel, and a recent supporting turn in Netflix’s Florida Man.
