True crime dramas remain one of the most popular TV genres, and Hulu will keep exploring this territory with Under the Bridge. Lily Gladstone and Riley Keough star in the first trailer for this promising series, about a teenage girl who went to a local party and never came back.
Under the Bridge will tell the tale of Reena Virk, a fourteen-year-old girl who went to join friends at a party and never returned home, before the wild truths about her disappearance came to light.
“Through the eyes of Godfrey (Keough) and a local police officer (Gladstone), the series takes us into the hidden world of the young girls accused of the murder – revealing startling truths about the unlikely killer,” reads Hulu’s official logline.
In addition to a recent Oscar nominee Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon) and the Emmy nominee Keough (Daisy Jones and the Six), this series will also star Vritika Gupta as Reena Virk, plus Chloe Guidry, Javon “Wanna” Walton, Izzy G., Aiyana Goodfellow, and Ezra Faroque Khan in supporting roles.
Under the Bridge draws inspiration from Rebecca Godfrey’s book, and it was adapted for Apple TV+ by Quinn Shephard. It will feature eight episodes, streaming weekly on Apple TV+ following a two-episode premiere on April 17.
