Linda Hamilton was a huge fan of Stranger Things before joining its final season, but her casting completely changed the way she approaches this show. The Terminator star revealed that she’s not planning to watch the hit series’ fifth season now that she’s a part of it.

Hamilton joined the cast of Stranger Things in a mystery role last year, and she recently discussed her casting with US Weekly. She admitted that she felt “imposter syndrome” on set because she relished the show long before being cast, but she probably won’t tune in for the final season.

“When you really buy into something, you don’t see yourself in it. So I think in a way, it kind of ruined the show for me. I never watch [a project], once I’m in something. It would just completely take me out of the reality of it to see myself in there,” explained Hamilton.

The long-awaited fifth season of Stranger Things kicked off production in early January, and it’s expected to return to Netflix in 2025. Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, and Joe Keery are among cast members expected to return for the final season.
