Netflix has officially renewed the supernatural horror drama Locke & Key for a second season.

The series is based on the IDW Publishing comic book franchise of the same name by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez.

The Locke’s made their way onto our screens in February and the series is about siblings Tyler (Connor Jessup), Kinsey (Emilia Jones) and Bode (Jackson Robert Scott), who move to their ancestral house in Massachusetts after their father is murdered. They soon uncover magical keys that give them special powers and abilities, but a devious demon also wants the keys and he’ll stop at nothing to get them.

Darby Stanchfield, Laysla De Oliveira, Aaron Ashmore, Petrice Jones, and Griffin Gluck also starred in the first season of Locke & Key.

The stakes will be even higher for the Locke family as they take on their roles as the Keepers of the Keys in the second season.

“We are thrilled to be continuing the journey of ‘Locke & Key’ alongside all of our amazing collaborators,” executive producers and co-showrunners Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill said in a statement.
