The Lord of the Rings series finds its young Galadriel.
Amazon’s upcoming Lord of the Rings series has cast His Dark Materials star Morfydd Clark. She joins previously cast Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle and Maxim Baldry.
The highly anticipated series hails from the writing team JD Payne and Patrick McKay. According to sources, Clark is set to play the character portrayed by Cate Blanchett in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films.
The TV adaptation of the acclaimed franchise is set in Middle Earth and will explore new storylines preceding J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring.
Amazon has already renewed The Lord of the Rings series for a second season.
