A new series of Hannibal could potentially be on the cards.
Fans of the artistically gruesome Hannibal show will be pleased to know that season 3 was not definitively the last of the series. In fact, creator Bryan Fuller is currently toying with a few ideas, according to Mads Mikkelsen (aka Hannibal Lecter).
“Yeah, I think there’s always new hope,” Mikkelsen told Bloody Disgusting.
“I haven’t heard anything specific. I know [creator] Bryan [Fuller] is still working on some ideas where we can find a new home for this. I also have a strong feeling that everybody who was involved in it would gladly pick up the glove again if that happens.”
In a Reddit AMA earlier this week, the star also responded to a fan asking about a new season.
“One hundred percent interested in more Hannibal,” he said. “And whatever insane route Bryan will take us, I’m on.”
Nothing’s set in stone yet, but if you thought that Hannibal had been swept under the carpet and forgotten about, that’s not the case at all. Hopefully there will be more positive news regarding the future of the show soon.
