Believe it or not, Mandy Moore has been around for 21 years.

The 35-year-old may be best known to today’s audience as Rebecca Pearson, but the This Is Star launched her career with her debut single “Candy” in 1999. Her first album, So Real, followed, becoming platinum-certified, and making the then 15-year-old a household name.

And now, her life is set to be the basis for a brand new television show.

’90s Popstar will follow a Florida family whose life changes overnight when their teenage daughter suddenly becomes a huge star.

Amanda Lasher, who penned The Bold Type, will serve as a writer on the series, while Moore will executive produce along with her co-showrunners from This Is Us, Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger.

ABC has so far ordered a pilot for the drama. Let’s hope it gets picked up to series.
