Cloak and Dagger is the latest Marvel series to hit the small screen, airing on Freeform (previously known as ABC Family). It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films and other tv series of the franchise.

The new superhero series stars Olivia Holt as Tandy Bowen/Dagger, and Aubrey Joseph as Tyrone Johnson/Cloak, two teenagers who obtained superpowers and eventually form a romantic relationship. The show also stars Andrea Roth, Gloria Reuben, Miles Mussenden, Carl Lundstedt, Emma Lahana, Jaime Zevallos and J.D. Evermore.

In the sneak peed exclusive to E! News, the stars describe the show in three simple words. Reuben who plays Tyrone’s mother Adina Johnson said it was “engaging, intelligent, and exciting.”

“If I could use three words to describe the series, it would be: good vs. evil,” Evermore, who plays Detective Connors, added.

“Gritty, grounded, and honest,” Holt shared.

Joseph may have the best brief description of the show, saying it was “So damn good.”

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger will premiere on Thursday, June 7 at 8 p.m. on Freeform.
