Amazon Prime Video’s The Better Sister is shaping up to be a star-studded affair, and two more actors just joined the pack. Matthew Modine and Gabriel Sloyer will star opposite Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks in this thrilling family drama.
According to its official logline, The Better Sister “meditates on the terrible things that drive sisters apart and ultimately bring them back together.” It centers on estranged sisters Chloe (Biel) and Nicky (Banks), who must deal with long-buried secrets after the brutal murder of Chloe’s husband Adam sends shockwaves through the family.
Corey Stoll will play Chloe’s handsome lawyer husband Adam, who works at a high-level law firm in Manhattan. Matthew Modine (Stranger Things) joined the cast as Bill Braddock, the powerful founding partner at Adam’s law firm.
Gabriel Sloyer (Grisdela) will also be one of the major players in Adam’s story, after joining the cast as his collogue Jake Rodriguez. They grew close after bonding over their outsider status at the firm, but their bond is tested by Adam’s murder.
The Better Sister was created for Prime Video by Olivia Milch and Regina Corrado, who will serve as showrunners, and it will also star Bobby Naderi, Maxwell Acee Donovan, and Kim Dickens.
