Hacks is one of the most acclaimed comedy series that Max has in store, and its third season is finally on the horizon. Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder are back for another adventure as Deborah Vance and Ava Daniels in the first trailer for the highly-anticipated third season of Hacks.
The Emmy-winning comedy series chronicles the journey of the young comedy writer Ava Daniels (Einbinder), who’s struggling to find work due to her bad reputation. Her life turns upside down when an aging Las Vegas comedy icon Deborah Vance (Smart) hires her to help her put a modern twist on her act.
Season 3 takes place in the aftermath of Deborah’s nationwide tour and stand-up special, and it sees her enjoying the fruits of her labor. Ava is back in Los Angeles, pursuing new career opportunities, but the new trailer sees them finding their way back to each other time and time again despite going their separate ways at the end of Season 2.
Paul W. Downs, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Kaitlin Olson, Christopher McDonald, Mark Indelicato, Rose Abdoo, and Lorenza Izzo will be back as series regulars in Season 3. They’ll be joined by several guest stars, including Helen Hunt, Christina Hendricks, Christopher Lloyd, Dan Bucatinsky, George Wallace, and Tony Goldwyn.
Hacks will return to Max on May 2 for Season 3, which will feature a total of nine episodes.
