Mayor of Kingstown has gone through many ups and downs over the years, but its future is finally looking bright! Paramount+ renewed the hit crime drama starring Jeremy Renner for its fourth season after months of speculations about its potential next chapter.

Season 3 of Mayor of Kingstown debuted on Paramount+ this summer, and its future has been uncertain since it ended its run in August. Rumors about its potential renewal started circling around in October when Paramount+ opened a writers’ room for Season 4, but it took a few months for the streamer to officially confirm that the Mayor is coming back for another ride.

Mayor of Kingstown stars Renner as Michael “Mike” McLusky, whose family has been keeping the peace between the street gangs, prisoners, guards, and cops in Kingstown for decades. The show’s third season took place in the wake of a series of explosions that rocked Kingstown and its citizens to their core.

In addition to Renner in the lead role, the supporting cast of this series includes Hugh Dillon, Tobi Bamtefa, Taylor Handley, Derek Webster, and Nichole Galicia. Taylor Sheridan co-created Mayor of Kingstown for Paramount+ with Dillon, and they both serve as executive producers alongside Renner and Dave Erickson, who’s also the showrunner of this crime drama.
