Shortly after giving us the first look at young Queen Charlotte in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, Netflix gave us a glimpse of another key character. The streamer rang in a new year by sharing the first look of young Lady Danbury in the upcoming Bridgerton prequel series.
Arsema Thomas will take over from Adjoa Andoh as the younger version of Lady Agatha Danbury, and the first photo shows her facing a mysterious figure in the show’s sixth episode. Despite Thomas’ casting, Andoh will return in the new series, and so will Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte, Ruth Gemmell as Lady Violet Bridgerton, and Hugh Sachs as Brimsley.
According to Netflix’s original logline, the new series will see Lady Danbury use her keen knowledge of the once-divided social scene and the intricacies of marriage to serve as a guiding light for the new Queen, all while finding her own voice and power.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will chronicle the great love story between Queen Charlotte and King George III, played by newcomers India Amarteifio and Corey Mylchreest. The series still doesn’t have an official release date, but it will premiere on Netflix later this year and feature a total of eight episodes.
