NBC ordered the pilot for the new series Grosse Pointe Garden Society, and they rounded out a pretty impressive cast for this project. Melissa Fumero, AnnaSophia Robb, and Ben Rappaport will play lead roles in NBC’s promising drama pilot.

Grosse Pointe Garden Society pilot will be directed by Maggie Kiley, and it will center on four members of a suburban garden club from different walks of life, struggling to make their lives bloom after finding themselves caught up in murder and mischief.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine alumna Melissa Fumero will lead the cast as entitled, rich, and self-destructive Birdie, who just happens to be the bestselling self-help author. She most recently starred in the short-lived series Blockbuster and directed two episodes of the Amazon Freevee sitcom Primo.

AnnaSophia Robb will join her as Alice, everyone’s favorite high school English teacher and a longtime member of the Grosse Pointe Garden Society. She’s a former child star who rose to prominence with Bridge to Terabithia, and we’ve recently seen her in the first season of Dr. Death.

Ben Rappaport’s credits include The Good Wife, Younger, Ozark, and For the People and he joined Grosse Pointe Garden Society as Brett, a manager of a garden store who put his dream on hold so his now ex-wife could pursue her own.
